Peer Tutoring
Students
may request peer tutors for courses in most disciplines
by contacting Student Academic Services. Peer
Tutors are recommended by faculty to Student Academic
Services, which then hires, trains, assigns, and
pays the tutors. Although requests for tutors
are most common in the foreign languages, sciences,
and business, SAS maintains lists of available
tutors in most other disciplines, and will make
every effort to provide a peer tutor for any course,
whenever possible, upon request. Tutors work with
individual students, and occasionally with small
groups, on specific course material or general
academic skills. For more information on the Peer
