Locations and Hours
The Government Documents Collections are located on the west end
of the first floor of the Library. Some documents are shelved in the
library's reference collection as well as in the general collection
using the Library of Congress Classification Scheme (LC). The collections
are available for use all hours of library operation.
The regular library
hours during the academic semester are:
Monday - Thursday:
8:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.
- 10:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00
a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Sunday: 11:00
a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Reference
Assistance in using the collections is available from the Reference/Information
Desk.
Monday - Thursday:
10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (except 5:30-6:30 pm)
Friday: 10:00
a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Saturday: 2:00
p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (2nd half of semester only)
Sunday: 2:00 p.m.
- 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m - 10:00 p.m.
Collections
Scribner Library was designated a U.S. Federal Depository on June 4,
1964. We currently select approximately 20% of all available federal
publications. Our selections are primarily in areas of general public
interest or in support of courses offered at Skidmore College.
