| Donating Your Collections to the Skidmore College Archives |
|
The Skidmore College Archives encourages, and indeed relies on, donations of Skidmore related material by alumni, faculty, staff, and others in the Skidmore Community. Since the Archives is only several years old, it does not have a long collecting history, and gaps in the collections unfortunately exist. By maintaining a growing body of Skidmore College records, publications, and photographs, the Archives is able to document Skidmore's rich history, providing students, faculty and other archives users with valuable research material and an increasingly clearer picture of Skidmore's past. The Archives welcomes copies of College publications, scrapbooks, photographs, memorabilia, and select other materials that document Skidmore College's development, administration, faculty, and student life. The following is a short listing of publications that the archives is in particular need of. This list is not comprehensive, however, and interested donors are encouraged to contact Special Collections staff if they have material they would like to donate. Contact information is provided below. |
