National Criminal Justice Reference Service
This site, which is maintained by Department of Justice, provides information on a wide variety of criminology and criminal justice topics. Many research reports can be found online, as well as links to various government agencies and research organizations.

Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics
The best single compilation of crime and criminal justice statistics.

Bureau of Justice Statistics
The Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Statistics provides access to criminal justice statistics in the form of reports (such as on the National Criminal Victimization Survey), as well as links to other agencies such as the FBI (which produces the Uniform Crime Reports) and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (which provides data on youth crime).

Criminal Justice Abstracts
Provides comprehensive coverage of the major journals in criminology and related disciplines, extensive coverage of books, and unparalleled access to reports from government and nongovernmental agencies. Topics include crime trends, prevention projects, corrections, juvenile delinquency, police, courts, offenders, victims, and sentencing. 1968 to the present.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service Abstracts Database
This free resource contains summaries of the more than 195,000 criminal justice, juvenile justice, and substance abuse resources housed in the NCJRS Library collection.

SAGE journals online
SAGE Publications publishes over 460 journals in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology and Medicine. The SAGE journals online database offers the full-text of SAGE's journals, including 18 titles relevant to Criminology and Criminal Justice.

SocIndex
Offers coverage of all subdisciplines of Sociology, including Criminal Justice. Many of the publications indexed are also available in full-text.

Sociological Abstracts (SocAbs)
Contains citations to articles from 250 journals from 1963 to the present.

GPO
Provides citations to U.S. federal government publications. Based on the Monthly Catalog of U.S. Government Publications, it contains references to books, reports, studies, serials, maps and other publications, 1976 to the present.

The library does not own all of the journals indexed by these databases; some articles that you find may have to be ordered through Interlibrary Loan.
