McClellan Hall is part of the Moore quad of residential halls.
Disabled access to McClellan is dfficult because of a greater-than-acceptable rise from the sidewalk to the main entrance. Because the building has no elevator, only the first floor is wheelchair-accessible.
Irene Ward McClellan was an early trustee of the College. When the nursing school was founded in 1922, she established clinical training for the students at the Mary McClellan hospital in Cambridge, New York. She also served as a trustee from 1934 to 1952 and was awarded an honorary doctor of letters degree by the College in 1951 for her "lasting contribution to the vitality of this institution."
