There are many volunteer opportunities with Sustainable Skidmore, other campus groups, or with other organizations in the Saratoga Springs community. Anyone interested in volunteering with Sustainable Skidmore is encouraged to stop in to the Sustainability Office in Harder 110 to talk with someone about new programs and opportunities.
Volunteer with Sustainable Skidmore
Skidmore Compost relies on volunteers every week to collect compost from 130 campus apartments. The group meets at the Case Center couches every Friday at 3 p.m. If your interested in getting involved, meet us at 3 p.m. or head down to the compost site at the end of the Northwoods parking lot anytime between 3 and 4 p.m.
Every semester, the North Woods stewards coordinate service days within the North Woods. Volunteers help clean the woods, make improvements to trails, repair signage, or whatever else might come up. For the most up-to-date information about upcoming events, please visit our Facebook page.
Volunteer with Community Groups
If you are interested in volunteering with organizations with a focus on sustainability, please visit Sustainable Skidmore's community groups page to see what these organizations are working on. Skidmore's community service page is also a great resource with many opportunities for students to get involved. For a comprehensive list of groups and organizations, please click here.
