UWW
encourages a blend of practical and theoretical learning. Many
adults return to college with extensive experience that can be
relevant to a college program. Experience in the business world,
in social work, in education, or in politics often provides perspective
that the 20-year-old student cannot yet equal.
Your
UWW advisors will discuss your professional and volunteer background
to determine whether you have experiential learning that might
contribute to your degree program. You may be asked to write a
narrative description of your learning which, if approved, can
be incorporated for credit into your program. We may also ask
you to submit a portfolio or other evidence of your work. Many
students use practical experience as a springboard for additional
study.
