Welcome to Skidmore College!
Skidmore is an independent, coeducational,
liberal arts college with an enrollment of 2,200 men and women and
a student-faculty ratio of 11:1. The College's 850-acre campus is
located near the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, on the edge
of Saratoga Springs, a city rich in history and well known for its
Victorian charm and modern cultural sophistication. Distinguished
by a curriculum balanced in the sciences, social sciences, arts, and
humanities, Skidmore offers more than 60 majors in the liberal arts
and preprofessional areas, with ample opportunity for interdisciplinary
study and self-determined majors. Admission is highly competitive.
The College grants the B.A., B.S., and M.A. in Liberal Studies degrees.
